Step 1: Marinating the Chicken Wings

    • To start making these delicious BBQ chicken wings, begin by washing your chicken wings with cold water. Once washed, pat dry the chicken pieces with kitchen towels. Set aside. This cleaning process ensures that the chicken wings are all good to be marinated.

    • Mix baking powder, black pepper, and salt, in a large mixing bowl. Dip each wing into the prepared mixture and rub it generously over them.

    • Once done, set these aside

    • for an hour, so that the baking powder clings well to the pieces, resulting in a crispier outer.

Step 2: Preparing the BBQ Sauce

    • In the meantime, let's prepare the BBQ Sauce for the chicken wings.

    • Begin by heating a small saucepan and mixing white wine vinegar, tomato ketchup, dark brown sugar, honey and vegetable oil, smoked paprika, black pepper and Worcestershire sauce in it.

    • Give everything a good stir and let the sauce cook for about 5-7 minutes over low - medium heat. The reason behind cooking on low medium heat is to protect the sauce from burning and to let the sugar combine well with the other ingredients.

    • Once the sauce appears to thicken, take it off the heat and let it cool down to room temperature.

Step 3: Getting the BBQ Grill ready

    • Before starting to work with your grill, ensure that the grill grates are well-cleaned. Now brush the grill with some vegetable oil and let it preheat to 190 - 200 degrees Celsius, over medium-high heat. Make sure to check the temperature using a kitchen thermometer.

    • In case you are using charcoal, let the coals get evenly lit and ensure that they are well covered with ash before putting the chicken wings to barbecue on them. For those who are planning to use a gas-operated grill, it is important to read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and heat the grill accordingly.

    Step 5: Its Grilling Time

    • Once the grill is all set, arrange all the pieces as per the size of your grill. Make sure to not overcrowd the grill and leave some space between each piece for them to cook well.

    • Once arranged, cover the grill with its lid and let the Chicken Wings cook for about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to flip the, halfway through and keep checking to avoid the skin from burning.

    • When the wings are almost done, brush them generously with some BBQ sauce on both sides and allow it to caramelize over the chicken wings.

    • After the chicken wings are grilled to perfection and a golden crisp layer is achieved on both sides, take them off the heat and let them rest for about 3-4 minutes, this will allow the juices to get absorbed and add an extra flavour.

    Step 6: Serving

    • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve alongside your favourite salads or fries, Don't forget to add some extra BBQ sauce to the platter.
